Just got my first Sunsa blind for Christmas and would love local API integration.

With all due respect, why are you asking for requests when you still haven't delivered what you PROMISED several YEARS ago? Do what you said you were going to do, or at least be honest and explain why you won't (or can't) do it. People respect companies that are honest and transparent. At this point you already have over 30 feature requests; asking for more seems more like a marketing gimmick than a sincere desire for feedback. Local API is the third highest request, yet not marked as "planned". I always recommended Sunsa in the Hubitat forums (and also wrote a publicly available Sunsa driver), but will no longer recommend your product until this is addressed one way or another.

Still waiting for this promise to be fulfilled. I never would have bought 10 of these if I'd realized there'd be no local API.

Adding my voice to this request.

This was promised long time ago. Please give priority to this. The blinds open ~3 seconds after the command. Sometimes more (or even worse, it times out).
Happened twice that the Wand couldn't talk to the servers and I couldn't open my blinds.
Nowadays Local API is a must-have feature, especially with so many devices, platforms and protocols out there that focus on that for reliable and fast responses like Home Assistant , HomeKit, Matter, Zigbee, ZWave ...
Waiting for Local API promise to became true.

Please make Local API available.

Please. This was promised a LONG time ago, and I purchased based on trusting that you would deliver on that promise.

Setting up the devices to speak Apple HomeKit would be a great way to get local API functionality with the widest range of compatibility. EDIT: Now that the Matter 1.0 specification has been released, that would be a better choice for allowing local integration with multiple platforms!

The Sunsa servers are definitely overloaded and requests frequently time out. Having a local API would solve that problem and make integration with other ecosystems like Homebridge, HomeAssistant, etc. easier and more robust.

Saw this in the conversation thread on the Hubitat forums and it was looking like a while back it was being worked on. Definitely would like for that to be completed, especially as right now I am using the Homebridge plug-in and then pairing that bridge over to Home Assistant and the cloud control is not always reliable. Get a lot of API call errors in my logs.
